Neobanks
Neobanks and payment apps for Algerians in 2026
Which online accounts work if you live in Algeria, which ones work for the diaspora, and what each costs.
Most foreign neobanks only open accounts for people who live in the countries where they are licensed. That leaves residents of Algeria with few options and the diaspora with many. This page sorts every service Algerians ask about by where you live, with fees checked against the providers’ own pages and re-checked every week.

01 Neobanks
If you live in Algeria
Grey is the clearest option for receiving USD, EUR and GBP and withdrawing in dinars. Wise may let you open an account, but the card and some features are not offered to Algerian addresses. Paysera, Revolut, N26 and bunq require residence in Europe. PayPal does not let accounts in Algeria receive payments. For paying abroad, Algerian banks now issue international Visa and Mastercard cards, which also carry the annual travel allowance.
02 Neobanks
If you live abroad
In Europe, Revolut, N26 and bunq give you an app bank in minutes, and BoursoBank is a free full bank for those tax resident in France. To send money home, Wise delivers DZD to Algerian bank accounts on several routes at the official mid-market rate. Compare the dinars received, not only the fee.

Crypto cards and the law
Algeria’s Law 25-10, in force since July 2025, bans holding, using and promoting crypto-assets, with fines and prison terms. We therefore do not list or recommend crypto cards or exchanges for people in Algeria.
FAQ Neobanks
Questions
Which neobank can I open from Algeria?
Grey openly serves residents of Algeria. Wise may open an account, with fewer features. Revolut, N26, bunq, Paysera and BoursoBank require residence in Europe.
Do neobanks give the Square rate?
No. Regulated providers convert at their own rate, close to the official one. Compare the dinars received with the official and Square rates published daily on EXDZ.
Does EXDZ earn money from these links?
Some sign-up buttons are affiliate links, and each one says so. Being an affiliate does not change the order or what we write; services with no deal, such as PayPal and Paysera, are covered the same way.
EXDZ publishes information only. EXDZ does not open accounts, hold money, exchange currency or transfer funds. Conditions and prices change; confirm them with the provider before signing up.
